WOMEN OF ARAGON

ARAGONA, Zaragoza

Preparations for Holy Week 2015 have started in Zaragoza, Spain. The Easter rituals involve dozens of processions in the city, at any time of day or night, and are the responsibility of the 24 fraternities still active in the capital of Aragon. It has been announced, to be verified, that a local feminist association has undertaken an initiative to change the name of the Congregación de Esclavas de María Santísima de los Dolores, believing the noun “Esclavas” not well appropriate to the current condition of the Spanish woman.
