Stefano Rovai is an internationally known Florentine graphic designer. Few know, however, that for decades he has cultivated a passion for Pinocchio whose editions he is an inveterate collector. In the spare time that the Covid 19 pandemic granted him, Rovai conceived and published his “of him” of “Pinocchio, the adventures of a puppet”. A book in which images are banned, and the text appears on each page in different ways: a true masterpiece of graphics that can recall those of the Futurists. Not satisfied with the volume, Rovai now presents, and until 23 May 2o22, at the Marino Marini Museum in Florence an exhibition on his book which becomes a performance in which one immerses oneself with ease and with great pleasure, sometimes even becoming protagonist …
The Marino Marini Museum in Florence is located in Piazza San Pancrazio, in the former church of San Pancrazio.
Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10-19 (last admission 18.30) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays it will be possible to make visits “on demand” for groups by reservation.
