“ALFABETI SOMMERSI” (UNDERWATER ALPHABETS) IN FLORENCE CELEBRATES THE WORK OF THE "MUD ANGELS"

Cyclopean artist books by Emilio Isgrò and Anselm Kiefer evoke, in the Sala d’Armi of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence (Italy), the thousands of volumes of the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale victims of the fury of the Arno on the 4th November 1966.
The showcases that contain the allusive volumes are “surrounded”, in a successful installation, by the images of a film, never published, directed by Beppe Fantacci, businessman and experienced amateur film maker, during the highlights of the Flood.
The project UNDERWATER ALPHABETS is by Marco Bazzini and Sergio Risaliti and will remain visible until November 13th, 2016 from 11am to 7pm.
