The Convent of Saint Agnes of Bohemia in Prague is a 13th-century building which originally served as a convent founded by Saint Agnes. Located on the right bank of the Vltava river, this Gothic building is one of the oldest of its kind in Prague. The convent houses a collection of classic art from Central Europe. The oldest collection piece is a late Romanesque statue of Mary from Moravia. The Gothic sculptures, altars and panel paintings are mostly from Czech churches. The first museum hall houses various carved and French-influenced Madonnas dating from the 12th and 13th centuries.
