From the 21st September 2017 to the 21st January 2018 the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence will be hosting THE CINQUECENTO IN FLORENCE From Michelangelo and Pontormo to Giambologna, an exhibition showcasing over seventy works of art by artists such as Michelangelo, Bronzino, Giorgio Vasari, Rosso Fiorentino, Pontormo, Santi di Tito, Giambologna and Bartolomeo Ammannati.
The final act in a trilogy curated by Carlo Falciani and Antonio Natali (which began with Bronzino in 2010, and was followed by Pontormo and Rosso Fiorentino in 2014) the exhibition explores an era marked by the Counter-Reformation and the personality of Francesco I de’ Medici.
